John Cheng, P.Eng.
Biography

John graduated
in 1986 from the University of Waterloo with a bachelor degree in Civil
Engineering. He has 30 years of
experience in engineering and project management. John has worked on all phases of engineering
projects in the natural resources industry from feasibility study to design and
construction. John also has in depth knowledge
of project management processes and systems.
John has worked
on natural resources projects in North and South America, Indonesia and
Alaska. He has held key roles on a
number of major mining feasibility studies including such projects as Galore
Creek (BC), Pebble (Alaska), Donlin Creek (Alaska), Oyu Tolgoi (Mongolia), Lindero (Argentina) and Cañariaco (Peru). Since late 2011, after a 20-year-long service
at AMEC (now part of Amec Foster Wheeler), John has
been consulting independently for mining Clients on projects in the area of
project engineering and project management.
John has been to over 50 countries and has visited numerous mine sites
and operations around the world.
John is a
registered professional engineer in British Columbia.
